About Leah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As an outsider hitter my gameplay style is very much competitive and high energy fueled . On offense I stay aggressive with my attacks I never ever give up on a bad ball even if in the net I go for everything I make smart shots and look to score consistently. On defense I work hard to read hitters, stay scrappy, and go after every ball. I bring hustle to every point, while focusing on my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I try to play with high energy and stay hard working and positive , even when I have things like mental blocks or energy drops. I always plush myself for greater, I push myself to bounce back quickly and stay focused on improving, and use challenges as a motivation to get better for myself and for my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am a member of the volleyball team, FCCLA, and Unified Sports. I have earned an Academic Achievement Award. I try to be active in leadership, teamwork, and school community activities.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Balancing volleyball and FCCLA and unified sports has shaped me to be disciplined, responsible, and a strong team player. I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and time management skills while staying focused on staying committed and motivated in all areas of my life.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I faced a challenge when I injured my knee but continued playing because I was afraid of sitting out and failing my teammates. This experience taught me resilience, determination, and the importance of taking injury’s seriously.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a competitive volleyball program where I can continue to grow as a player and student, somewhere with a strong team culture that values community and supporting one another.
