About Leighton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a 6-rotation smart, competitive player. Comfortable and experienced at OH, OPP, and DS.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a goal-driven, hard-working, and committed team player. I value relationships, am friendly, fun-loving, and thrive in a team environment.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in Student Congress, National Honor Society, and was voted Class President for my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. I am also a member of Business Professionals of America, an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a Silver Chord participant as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed communication, organization, punctuality, and perseverance through being part of different clubs and organizations.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge for me has been being from a small town with limited opportunities for volleyball development. Thankfully, I found a club nearby that's provided me with excellent knowledge and development in the sport.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a school that will provide me the best opportunities, athletically and academically, that has a positive culture and atmosphere.
