About Leona

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart, consistent, high energy, I go for every ball I can. I am not afraid to get on the floor to get a ball up

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Hustle is my mentality; no ball should be hitting the floor without a hustle. My personality is to be very nice even if people are not the same way you treat them. I try and have the highest energy even on my off days.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received Principle's honor roll last year and Honor roll. I also volunteer at the pet groomer where I take my dogs.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed being a better team leader being a libero, it has helped me lead on my back row. I have also gotten a lot better at teamwork knowing that if I am there to cover for my hitter we all work together to keep the game going.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have been placed in different positions and lower teams, but at the end of the day i always make sure to keep working hard.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will let me play at a high level of volleyball but mainly that I can get my degrees to be a veterinarian.
