About Libby

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My coaches and teammates say I remain calm in the midst of the game. My game face is locked in. I love seeing my teammates get those amazing plays as the setter. Some of my favorite plays are jump setting a tight ball out of the net. But of course, I love a great pass and a beautiful set to my teammates and seeing their face after the huge kill. I love being court captain and talking to the Ref.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been homeschooled for 10 years and I am currently in Viera High School for the first time. I have hopes of joining clubs this year and experiencing public high school for the first time. I enjoy going to youth group on the weekends.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been team captain and speaking captain the past two years for my club team. It has given me the ability to communicate between the ref and my coach. I believe being speaking captain has increased my court volleyball IQ because I'm always listening to my coach and the ref during certain plays. Academically, being homeschooled has helped me worked independently and time manage well.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a great coach that isn't afraid to push their players but love them as well. My sister is at an amazing Junior College and she taught me to look for great coaching, a degree I am seeking and to have not limit myself on size or class of the college. I know God has a place for me and I'm excited to see where that is in the next 3 years,
