About Liesl

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a quick thinker on the court, and have learned to use my size and speed to help my team not only on offense, but on defense as well. Being a versatile player is very important to me, and I have grown in many different areas so far this season.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I participate in Student Council, and Mock Trial. This year I participated in Girls State Honor Choir, and was selected to be in the All State Choir for this next following year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have participated in Student Council at my school for several years now, and hope to continue in NHS this next school year.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I first started volleyball, I was already three years behind most of my classmates in terms of playing and experience. Instead of getting discouraged and quitting, I decided to find my love and enjoyment for the sport. That love for the sport has helped me grow as a player and a leader, and has overall been my reason why I play, especially playing at a high level.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for an academic my strong school that will meet my needs and goals as a student, as well as a player.
