About Lilli

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

On the court I am a very aggressive player. I strive to get every ball up so my team can set up. I don't let balls drop near me because of my fast footwork and reflexes. I also communicate everything. I take control of my back row and I will tell my front row where the open spots are on the court as well as how to hit the ball; tip, roll, push etc. I come to the ball and I don't let it come to me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

While I play my mentality is one point at a time, focus, and be aggressive. I don't get down on myself because there's not much I can do about that last point just do it better next time. I am a friendly person and I care about everyone. I encourage my teammates and push them to be the best version of themselves.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Right now I am involved in National Honors Society, Science National Honors Society. I was also apart of The American Heart Association where I volunteered at hospitals, and raised money for funding research and advocating for public health. I was also in key club and beta club recent years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been a multi-sport athlete since middle school so growing up I learned a lot early on. Playing all of these sports and being academically successful I learned to manage my time, things don't get handed to you, you have to work for what you want, leadership skills as being captain for most of these sports, a lot about teamwork and communication, and working with your community and serving.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was born in Arkansas and grew up there until my Junior year of high school where I moved to Florida. I didn't know anyone so It was a whole new beginning. playing volleyball, I had to change my position from an outside hitter to a Libero/Ds and I wasn't great at passing. I did want to play on this team so I knew I had to work very hard on technique and knowledge of this position.

What type of college are you looking for?

There's nothing specific I am looking for just a college that will make me feel wanted, and makes me feel like home. Maybe along the coast or close but if it's not that's fine too.
