About Lilly

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a consistent and trustworthy player. I trust myself and i’m hungry for the ball. I love my sport and teammates which drives me to play better. I’m a loud communicator and my teammates know i’ll get the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I know everyone makes mistakes so i don’t get frustrated when I make one. Even when i do I don’t show it because body language really shows the type of person you are. I strive to always uplift everyone because even if im not doing good I can cheer my teammates on and it makes me feel better. I always have energy and i’m a loud cheerleader because i love when my teammates do good and I love to win

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m a leader on and outside of the court. I have developed so many life skills from volleyball I’m so grateful for. I’ve been a team captain on my club teams for 3 years in a row. I serve the community for school community hours for my school and mission trips and I love doing it. I love serving people because it’s what God intends for us to do. I’m great with teamwork also and I love it.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve gone through really mentally and physically draining club seasons with bad coaches and injuries and wanted to quit volleyball. But then God opened another door in my life to another club and I found the love for my sport again. Now i have so many new friends and coaches who supported, loved, cared, and helped me so much. They all helped me realize my identity isn’t being a volleyball player!

What type of college are you looking for?

A supportive non toxic family environment. I want to go to a competitive but loving college. I want to be wanted at that college and feel worthy, cared about, and loved
