About Lily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is fast and agile. I am able to adjust to any set and any opponent. I am quick at making decisions and know how to put the ball away. I Like to switch up my hitting from fast swings to off speed. I know how to place the ball and know when to use my off speed tools.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is any ball is playable, and touchable. If I see myself doing something I’m going to do it. My personality is very outgoing and confident. I can also keep calm and not too frantic when games get close.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I Am involved in National Honors Society at my school. And I am also part of bible club. I have received Student athlete of the year awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I Have developed great leadership skills, as-well as teamwork, and great communication skills. I also have developed the ability to motivate teammates, and make quick decisions under pressure. I have also learned accountability, integrity, and capacity to build trust within the my teams. I have also developed a strong work ethic when it comes to school. And good study habits.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced some challenges. Such as having to end my club season early due to a bad injury. It made my mental health bad and I almost lost my love for the sport. But I came back stronger than ever before. While recovering I was in the gym, practicing what was possible. And taking care of my body. And mental health. When fully recovered I was constantly working on my skills and strength.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m Looking for a college who will push me to be a better version of myself. One who has great academics and good programs. I also look for a college who has a welcoming spirit and friendly environment. And a Volleyball program that is fun, competitive, and great coaches. And a college with great school spirit.
