About Lola

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My job is to bring a level of intimidation to opposing attackers and defenders. They need to know that any hit will be challenged and very possibly blocked. On offense, my job is to quickly transition to make myself available to my setter and drive kills over the top or into the defenders, opening things up for our outside hitters.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I consider myself a kind person off the court and am appreciative of my coaches, parents, and others who support my passion for the sport. Away from volleyball, I'm quite quiet and reserved, but love that volleyball brings out a more aggressive side of myself that I really didn't know I had in me.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My freshman year of high school, I was able to play a leadership role on our Junior Varsity team with many of my team mates having not played club, or other volleyball since the prior year. I would not have been able to have that role so young had I made Varsity my freshman year. It made the experience that much sweeter by Sophomore year when I was able to really contribute on the court.
