Prpa and her New Age 16 Select team will appear in the event’s 16 Bid Division. She has a very mature and advanced game for her age and, unsurprisingly, plays up with New Age. Prpa has some of the best setting hands in her age group and pairs it with an incredible ability to read the game, which results in a smooth, intelligent distribution on offense. She does a great job of keeping all her hitters involved and can be very creative with how she sets plays up. The setter has a solid all-around game and also appears well on defense, besides being capable of taking hitting responsibilities when at the net.

Lola Prpa is already operating with a level of intentionality that shows up in how she describes running an offense. Her focus on tempo, decision-making, and delivering consistent, hittable sets reflects a player who sees the setter position as a responsibility to create solutions rather than just distribute the ball. There is a clear emphasis on reading blockers, managing pace, and putting hitters in positions to succeed.
“I’m very intentional in how I approach the game. I’m constantly thinking, learning, and adjusting.”
Her response reflects a player who processes the game at a high level for her age, with a mindset built around problem-solving and efficiency. There is ownership in how she leads, along with a willingness to challenge both herself and her teammates to operate at a higher standard.
She has been focused on footwork, balance, and decision-making while playing up, which has forced her to adapt to a faster and more physical game. Her experience running a 5–1 system with a scrappy team has pushed her to expand her options, including right-side attacking and out-of-system solutions. That combination of exposure and adjustment is shaping a more complete and adaptable setter.
Her decision to attend this showcase reflects a deliberate approach to her development, seeking both exposure and an environment where she can be evaluated honestly while continuing to grow.

Lola is a composed and intelligent setter who manages the offense well. I like her sense of tempo and her ability to involve all of her hitters, particularly in transition. What stands out is her ability to be an offensive threat when needed, making her effective as a setter/right-side option. She leads with confidence and shows maturity in how she runs the floor.

Despite being a freshman, Prpa was not a new face to me as she had been in one of our previous showcases. I remember having a positive impression of her at the time and what I saw on Sunday just strengthened my feeling that she has what it takes to be one of the top setters in the class. Prpa is extremely technical, and that shows every time she touches the ball. Another thing that separates her from other players in the position is her outstanding body control, which allows her to remain accurate when she has to go very low to get her hands on the ball or when she deals with tight passes up at the net.

is an exceptional young setter with a level of precision and court presence well beyond her age. She’s quick, aggressive, and unafraid to go all out—sliding, diving, and still delivering accurate sets under pressure. Lola is a natural leader. She holds her teammates to a high standard. She encourages great effort in a positive and motivating way, even when she’s off the court. She’s the player every team needs to run a disciplined and dynamic offense.

It’s still going to take another season until we see Prpa playing high school volleyball here in Houston, but she’s definitely ready for it. She was among the setters who impressed me the most all day, displaying solid technical skills and way more maturity than one would expect from a player of her age. It’s usual for younger people to lay low among older teammates or opponents, but that wasn’t the case with Prpa, who stood out with her performance and also with how she interacted with the other players during the drills and breaks. She had some of the best hands I saw all day and was very confident with her playmaking and her overall game, also doing a great job when she had to work passes off the net.
