Villamar does a lot of things that give her an edge over many of her peers. She is confident using her hands on defense, especially on free balls, which gives her more control and allows her to increase the tempo of the game. She is also very solid with her free ball placement, whether delivering to target for the setter or when setting up her pins in out of system situations. Defensively, she moves with efficient, controlled footwork and avoids unnecessary steps which allow her to stay composed and disciplined on the court.
