Roy (pictured) does a good job using her size to control the net. Roy ponds balls hard from the middle and outside. Roy adds in tips to the shallow court catching defenders by surprise. Roy has great timing on her blocks, makes sound passes and has a rugged jump serve. Roy had 273 kills, 53 solo blocks, 18 assisted blocks, 107 aces and 92 digs, helping Greenup County go 24-8, win the first 63rd District championship since 2012 and make it to the 16th Region Tournament for the first time since 2020.

The Musketeers have size to work with and Roy is trying to make sure she does her part to help out there. Roy takes hard swings on one sets in the middle. Roy may not play all six positions, but she does play some back row after serving and is not afraid to hit from there. She makes nice first touches from there and her serves keep teams out of system. Roy said she’s been working out more and running in the neighborhood, noting it’s important to do small things to build endurance.

Roy (pictured) said she has been focused on improving her angles and blocking and it showed this day, especially in that third game against Montgomery County. Roy takes hard swings and puts nice touches to the front middle to find the floor. Roy does a great job using her size to force high spikes thus helping out the defensive specialists. Roy also has some nice line drive serves to throw off defenders.
