About Lyla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am resilient and focused. I love to attack from anywhere on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My parents describe me as stoic. I don't get frustrated easily and bounce back well. I am shy/reserved off the court, but on the court I am having fun with my teammates!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer at my church, am a member of FCA, and am a camp counselor at Still Water Creek.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

From volunteering at my church, I have learned how to communicate better. As a leader for FCA at my school, I have learned teamwork skills. I developed several skills volunteering as a camp counselor like leadership and adaptability.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my arm and was competitive swimming at the time. It was difficult because it affected my writing, my training, and everyday life.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to go to a great school. My favorite colleges are UT, LSU, Nebraska and Ole Miss.
