About Macey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a left handed right side hitter, who is a smart player with great court awareness. I can read the defense to determine whether to swing hard or put down a well placed tip. I am a strong server and can hit my spots accurately.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Coaches have told me that I bring a calming presence on the court which helps my teammates. I always want to win and have learned to never give up. I believe my participation in other sports, especially being a softball pitcher, have played a great part in building mental toughness in my game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Along with volleyball, I am also a varsity basketball and softball player. My other school activities include Football Manager, Math Team, Student Council, and Key Club. Last year, I received an Academic Excellence Award and have earned Spotlight on Scholarship Awards. Outside of school, I attend my church youth group and volunteer often.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been a volleyball captain for my 9th grade, Club and JV teams. I lead by example and always encourage my teammates so that we all can improve individually and as a team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing my time as a three sport athlete and a 4.0 student has been challenging at times, but I have learned to manage my time well.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a great college with strong academic programs and competitive athletics.
