About Mackenzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am fast to the ball from all areas of the court. I understand the game, make quick decisions, and anticipate my teammate’s movements. I am constantly seeking feedback from my hitters to better our connection and from my coaches to improve my game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I remain calm and positive, even in difficult situations to ensure our team has someone to look to in any situation. I have confidence in myself and will always be one of the hardest working players on any team. I am able to bounce back from setbacks and failures quickly.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

DECA FBLA

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned to effectively communicate with both my coaches and my teammates. I always lead by example. I am motivating and encouraging to my teammates no matter the situation. I am an officer for DECA. I am also a team captain on my volleyball teams.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I would say the biggest challenge I face, is my height. I have certainly been passed up based solely on that. However, this just fuels my fire and I work harder every single day to make sure I’m ready for every opportunity I am afforded knowing that I may not get as many as others do.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a great culture, a hunger to win, and a strong support system.

Mackenzie Bailey Mackenzie Bailey Mackenzie Bailey 5'6" | S/DS/L Grandview | 2027 CO might be one of the fiercest competitors in the state of Colorado, which is saying something. One of the two setters for the Grandview Wolves JV squad, Bailey does a great job of getting her hands to every ball and running a smart and well distributed offense. She’s incredibly fast on the floor, strong defensively, and has a wicked float serve. One of the captains of this squad, Bailey is the first to fire her team up, hold them (and herself) accountable, and lead the Wolves.
