I first saw Madalyn play for Stonebridge high school when they finished the season undefeated. They won the Division II VISAA state championships going 38-0. Madalyn earned player of the year for Division II. She smacked down 23 kills in the finals with an end of the year hitting percentage of .425.
At 6’0″ she brings good length to the pins. Her arm extension also helps her put the ball away. A six rotation player she was home schooled until her junior year in high school when she won the MVP of the conference. Don’t know if the coach knew about her when she walked into the gym during tryouts, but if not that had to be a pleasant surprise.
She led the team in kills, falling 25 short of 500. That stat total was second in the state of Virginia, just ahead of Kennedy Spaid and behind Julia Kinney Julia Kinney OH Denbigh Baptist Chri | 2027 State VA in kills.
