About Maddie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love playing volleyball! I have been told I have high volleyball IQ. I am vocal, energetic and try to be a leader on the court. I am very strong server, serving a 25-0 set this year at First in Show, Ocala.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a high achiever in all aspects of my life. I strive to do my best in everything I take on. I take school and volleyball very seriously, but I also know when to have fun. You need to have that balance in life and my family and friends definitely help me achieve this.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Elementary School Honor Society, Florida Pride Award for Writing 2024

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was elected Team Captain for my middle school 7th grade and my Club Team Captain 12u and 13u. I have volunteered with my Rec Coach's summer camp for 2 years now and will continue to do so as my schedule allows.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My 11u season, I was the starting setter, playing up on a 12-1 team. When the season ended, my club advised me they wanted me to replay my 12u season with the intent to lead the team and gain experience before the heavy ball/ higher net that comes with 13u. I was disappointed at first, but it wound up being an amazing season and we had major winning record, losing to only 4 teams all season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to study Sports Journalism/Broadcasting. I have an affinity for stats, and I love watching all kinds of sports. I want to play competitive volleyball at a school with a program that meets my career goals.
