About Madeline

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Agile, focused, and results-oriented, Madeline brings energy and efficiency to the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My favorite thing about volleyball is celebrating my team’s success. I like to think of myself as a leader, driven with passion for the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Young Georgia Author Award Honor Roll All of Middle School FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Emotional intelligence, I am able to pick my teammates up easily by knowing how they are feeling. I also can sense when I need to focus back in and not let my emotions distract me.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was diagnosed with POTS syndrome at 13 years old, for years I had no idea I had it. Many times I ended up in the emergency room, and in worse cases, an ambulance. It was a nerve wracking journey. Without a diagnosis I had no idea how to treat what I had. Volleyball became more difficult for me, and yet I ended up loving it even more.

What type of college are you looking for?

Because I am young, my options are open to anything. I just want a place not too far from my home state of Georgia.
