About Madison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style could briefly be described as quick, positive, driven, focused on winning, and supporting my entire team. I'm agile, fast on my feet, always ready to jump. I remain positive when we're down and work to lift up the morale of the team. NCAA ID 2404273988

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a next play mentality and take feedback well. I'm able to quickly correct my mistakes, without letting them effect the rest of the game. My personality is energetic, positive, and encouraging. I work hard on my own-but also know how to come together to create winning results, with my teammates. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to benefit the team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a senator in the Best Buddies program at our school. We include special needs students in sports, extracurricular activities, and in our friendships. I am a senator for the Student Impact club, where we host events to raise money for children at St. Jude. In addition to that I am a member of California Scholarship Federation (CSF). I've received academic letter awards each semester.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

After recently receiving an award as a "Community Partner," from Assemblyman Tom Lackey for the volunteer work, performed in the community-it has provided me so many opportunities to build my skills. I've developed an ability to lead, serve, work independently, and work in teams-all of which have been rewarding and provided a sense of purpose.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've faced some challenges in my life that have impacted me. As a girl, I was very close to my grandmother and I lost her suddenly. I loved her very much, as she was my biggest fan. She helped shape me into the person, student, and athlete I am today. I'm reminded to always work hard, do my best, and to be kind to others as we don't know the challenges or hardships others face.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm versatile and open to attending a junior college, private college, or public year university that will provide me the honor to play volleyball in any position, offer a well rounded education, and campus life.
