Tryon and her Premier 16 Black A team tied for fifth with a campaign of four wins and a loss. One of the tallest players in the event at 6’4″, she offered her team a much-needed towering presence at the net. Tryon was very difficult to stop on offense because of her incredibly high contact, and she did a good job of being consistent with her swings. The middle was arguably even more important with her blocking, taking up a lot of space from opposing hitters when working against slower, out-of-system sets, and finding ways to at least get a hand in front of them when chasing quicker sets at the pins. Tryon was always alert at the net, handling well overpasses and winning 50-50 balls and jousts.
