About Makenna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a smart player and have good court awareness. I am quick on my feet to read the ball. I am a team player and always communicating with my team whether that be in defense or in offense telling my hitters where there are openings.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have worked really hard on building mental toughness and next ball mentality. I am able to move on from mistakes and be a positive player on the court. My personality is fun. I love getting excited for all my teammates and being supportive of them. One of my teammates has told me I am her energizer on the court. I like to pick my team up and provide excitement.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was involved in forensics in middle school. I volunteer for Lake Melvin yacht club “Oktoberfest” in the fall. I have also helped with organizing toys at Christmas for families less privileged.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed good communication skills to be successful with my teammates. I have confidence which helps with leadership on the court. I have helped at the “Empty Stocking” in Madison.

What type of college are you looking for?

A school where I can accomplish my goals of graduation and also playing volleyball. I would love to be an athletic trainer.
