This is her second climb up in the rankings. At a Prep Dig showcase she rose from 106 to 96. A couple years passed and she again rose from 109 to 92. She impressed with her play on the right side after SERV won the Grand Prix championship. She also played well in the Freedom Division at Junior Nationals. Overall SERV finished as the third ranked team in the Old Dominion Region per AES. Marcy has committed to Rowan University.

Last year Great Bridge lost in the opening round of the state Regional playoffs to Kellam. Great Bridge does not appear to be very good about putting roster information together.

106 to 96. The Prep Dig showcase was my first opportunity to see her play. She showed some back row talent and the ability to create offense in the back row with a well driven spike.

She plays for Great Bridge high school. They finished sixth in the Southeastern Conference. She also lists SERV as her club team but they carry no rosters on their website. The SERV 16 team played in the MAPL 14-16 Division finishing 11th out of 30 teams. She was not listed on that roster.

Hopefully, I will get an opportunity to see her play this club season.

The showcase was my first opportunity to see Marcy play. She listed herself as a right side, but when I saw her play she was in the back row. She made a good pass and rocketed a spike from behind the ten foot line. At 5’10” she also carries some height coming into her sophomore season.

Last year Great Bridge lost in the semi-finals of the Class 5A regionals to Kellam. Marcy will step her game up to improve on that finish.
