About Margaret

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a setter, I have been put into a higher leadership role on my team and make sure my team is growing with me. I play a competitive game of volleyball while still being strategic and mindful of my teammates. I always challenge myself for the benefit of my team and I also try to lead my example for the other athletes in our gym.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would consider myself to have a welcoming yet focused personality in and out of sports. In the classroom, I am always trying to participate in group discussions and help my class mates learn to their best abilities. I carry this attitude with me in sports as well where I continue to help my teammates work to their biggest potential.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the Wellness Council at my school where we help focus on students mental health and their abilities to balance school work with their lives outside of the classroom. I have learned a lot from this club as a student athlete and I hope to continue helping students who also benefit from this advice.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During the summer before my Freshman year of high school, I was diagnosed with a fractured vertebrae and was out for the entire summer before by first High School season. I learned many things from this injury such as perseverance, resilience, and patience. I would have never suspected myself to be the type of person to get a major injury from my sport but that's not something you can choose.

Svette saw some good action at the setting role for Chagrin Falls during the 2025 season. She distributes with good balance, form, and touch as she continues to develop her foundation as a floor leader. This coming club season, she will compete for an AVC 15 White team that will feature some very capable arms through both pins. Look for her to continue to hone her skills and help her team compete well while gaining more valuable experience running the show.
