Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a very competitive and strategic player. I stay very focused on the game and competition. I have a very high court IQ and use that to make my decisions so that I can set up my teammates in the best way possible. When I am given critiques I always apply them even if it takes me a lot of practice to do so. I try 110% even when I am having a bad day so that I can be the best player I can be.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very positive and focused person. I always work hard on the court, during workouts, during practice, and in the classroom. I always want to do what is best so I can accomplish everything I set my mind to. I take any advice I get to make me better and enjoying learning new things.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a member of the National Junior Honor society. I have always been an A Honor roll student and have received numerous student awards for my excellent grades in all subjects. I have also been awarded multiple Spirit, Pride, and Honor awards which my school gives out for your action in and out of the classroom.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have always been an amazing teammate. I always want to do what is best for them and am always celebrating their accomplishments. I always celebrate something good my teammates have done even if the game doesn't go our way. As a setter communication and leadership are really important, which are skills I am good at.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I moved from a very small non competitive club to a big, well known, and very competitive club. I went from playing in the club division to playing open in a matter of a few months. It was a big change for me and I had to relearn some fundamentals to be able to succeed at a higher level. It took a lot of training and hard work to be able to play at that level and it was a big challenge for me.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that has the academic program I am looking for so that I can be prepared for my future and excel after school. My after college career is very important to me so the programs I can take at my college really matter to me. I also would love to go to a college with a great community and a great environment.
