Marlee is a solid, 5-1 setter with strong legs and shoulders and soft hands. Her decision-making is upper-level, finding the right hitter in the right situation at all times. As far as her on-court demeanor is concerned, she’s like an additional coach on the floor, directing traffic and constantly encouraging to all of her fellow teammates.

One of the bigger setters in this graduating class, Marlee has turned her physicality into a solid all-around 5-1 setter. She plays bigger than she looks, as her net defense is some of the best at her position in any class. I look forward to her club seasons regularly, as she plays in a currently tougher-than-average sectional in high school. On either squad, she’s a quiet, no-nonsense floor general who’s more than capable of running an offense at any level once she graduates. Her personality screams “captain by example”, and is easily coachable. The question is: how good can she get? Only time and training will tell.

Marlee is one of the hardest-working athletes on the court. She has great hands and is efficient in moving to the ball. She works to better the ball on every play and is a leader for her team. She is a player with huge potential and one I can’t wait to continue to see play.
