About Maya

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I firmly believe in mistakes being learning moments, the importance in taking criticism educationally, not personally. I personally think I am a bright, intelligent, disciplined person. I have confident yet humble. I know what I am capable of doing but not egotistical.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in multiple clubs at my school such as BSU, Trio EST, Gear Up, and Magnet Council which I am President. I have received 2 academic excellence awards and placed in the 70th percentile for the PSAT.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that’s known for not just its excellent academics but also its campus life and culture. I’d like to be involved in more than the institutions sports but its clubs and events. Somewhere that isn’t just an education institution but a community.
