Mayli Whetter Mayli Whetter 5'9" | S Piedmont Highschool | 2025 State OK is a tall-defensive setter with experience attacking as well. She played a big role for her high school team as a pin hitter. Mayli is also skilled in defense in right back as a setter. I guess it’s safe to say she is a utility player. Mayli swings hard on the right side adding a lot of topspin to her attack. The spin her ball has makes it difficult for defenders to read and get under as her ball drops to the ground quickly. Mayli is smart with her tips as an attacker and her dumps as a setter. She sees the court well and is comfortable pushing the ball into deep corners away from defenders. It will be interesting to see if Maylie debuts the Large West team as a hitter or a setter!
