Please officially welcome McKennah to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 41st best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Warren High School and also plays at the Mizuno Long Beach volleyball club. We have had our eye on her for a while now and when we were analyzing every player’s skill sets, she was at the top of each category. Watching her attack the ball leaves you with a believe that humans can fly. She is able to come off of the ground in a hurry and almost stay in the air for what seems like a lifetime. This amazing vertical and hang time make it very difficult for any opponent to block her consistently. I also love how she is able to use great vision and timing in order to shut down would be point scorers at the net. Not only does she get her arms high above the net, but more importantly she presses over the net, which takes away so much space for the hitter to operate with. This is the key to great blocking and McKennah is amazing at it. When it comes to her attacking technique, what sets her apart is how she is able to control he ball and direct it exactly where she wants to with an amazing hand contact and direction of swing. This allows her to tool the block whenever she wants to or move the ball around it. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
