About Melissa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a very competitive, and energetic player. I enjoy playing at a faster pace, and I’m very vocal when communicating effectively with my team. My speed allows me to pursue any ball as a L/DS. I’m also able to adapt to changes made quickly, and efficiently.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love to be given a challenge my competitiveness drives me to take on any challenge. I love to win. My goal on the court is to always keep my energy up. I’m always finding something good to build off of. I love constructive criticism whether that is from a coach or even one of my teammates. I’m committed to improving every day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m apart of the HOSA organization, I participate in FFA speech contest and STUCO. I was also inducted in the National Technical Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over my past 7 years playing volleyball I have developed qualities like leadership, accountability,communication, and coach ability. I’m currently my high school volleyball team’s captain.I have developed community service skills through different courses I have taken and completed such as a CNA as well as a EMT course which have both instilled qualities that I am able to use on the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will best suit me in my academic and athletic career. I’m looking for a very competitive school that will push me to become a better player and person.
