Garrett provided a terrific individual effort in Mentor’s 3-1 win over Oletangy Orange to help her team advance to the DI state title match. An aggressive and confident attacker, she produced a big double-double effort with a team high 18 kills while picking up 11 digs. Offensively, she produced on a .333 efficiency with only three errors on 45 swings. She’s a versatile player that can contribute in all areas of the game. Her lefty arm swing will be key in Mentor’s match against the defending champs. Also reaching double figure kills in the Cardinals’ win was Kayden McKinney Kayden McKinney 5'10" | OH Mentor | 2026 State OH with 15 kills as Addi Keeper led with 23 assists.

Garrett gave NKYVC 17-1 problems with her lefthanded shots that veer hard away from defenders. She can pound balls hard to the corners giving even sound defensive specialists fits. Garrett also brings great energy to the courts and it spreads to her teammates.

Garrett is an explosive lefty that displayed consistent control of balls. She delivered a number of sound shots at different parts of the net including line shots and cutters across the court. Her crease shots were particularly good. Garrett does a great job adjusting to different setters and is a sound server, blocker and passer. Garrett had 227 kills, 44 aces, 19 solo blocks, 11 assisted blocks and 231 digs, helping the Cardinals to an 18-7 record, a Greater Cleveland Conference crown and a District Tournament championship.

Garrett is a solid all-around player for the Cardinals. Garrett is always moving her feet trying to better balls each time she touches them. Garrett takes long passes at the pins and buries them down the lines. Garrett makes things happen from the back row. She puts her team in good position to run a smooth offensive attack with crisp passes.
