Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I'm a libero, so going for each ball and hitting the floor is very important part for me in games. I try my best to get a touch on each ball that I can, and follow each ball to make sure it can get back into the court if needed. I like to use anything I can to either send it to a corner or serve it a different way.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I'm very positive on the court and try to make sure that we're all shaking off mistakes and adjusting well while we play. I go for whatever I can and go hard to the very end, even if the opposing team is at game point and we're down by ten. Even if our spirits are down, I try to give us a pep talk or talk about what we can adjust to, trying to show our team's great sportsmanship to the end.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am in other extracurriculars, such as marching band, show choir, and Minnesota Honor Society. I've received a few letters from band for either qualifying for state for our solo and ensemble competition, or just going above and beyond to join classes or extra groups. I've been chosen and selected from an application for MHS, and I've done some volunteer work on the side as well.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I'd like to say that I've learned some leadership qualities through volleyball and band, as well as teamwork and volunteering. Such as leading through different warmups, or making sure to keep our spirits up, but also knowing to trust my teammates and always trying to motivate. I learned that through volunteering, the other people around can always be willing to help as am I, working together.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I would say my biggest challenge is balancing sports, honor classes, having two jobs, and other extracurriculars while also competing for playing time and my position as a libero.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm look for an out-of state college, since I want to go into Intelligence and criminal justice, yet I want the school to be encouraging and friendly as a community, helping students to grow and learn efficiently and comfortably. My main schools are the United States Air Force Academy, New York University, and Texas A&M. However, I'd like to also consider schools more local, like SDSU or UofMn.
