Hansen has done such a great job running the offense for this Odd Duck squad. She is fast to the ball and moves it to all areas on the court and across the net. Hansen is quick and hard to read and I’m pretty sure blockers have nightmares about her tricking them all the time.

If I had a say in who made the all-tournament team, I would choose Hansen in a heartbeat. Seriously, what can’t she do? She has some of the smoothest hands I’ve ever seen on a setter and can connect with any of her hitters from almost anywhere on the court. Some of the out-of-system sets she put up had my jaw on the floor. Hansen has the kind of talent seen at highly competitive colleges, and I’m confident her future will be bright no matter which path she chooses!

Hansen was everywhere on the court in order to give her players the opportunity to terminate. She jumpsets with ease and sends it quickly to either pin effortlessly. I just love her versatility and how she uses all of her attackers to create an unpredictable offense. Hansen has a great toolbelt when it comes to her setter dumps as well. She also brings a wicked serve to the court and she often goes on big serving runs.

Hansen is the QB1 for this Elevate 17s team where there is a lot of uncommitted 2025 talent who can play at the next level. I noticed Hansen at the Prep Dig Top 250 in December, saw her again at the Prep Dig Resolution in January, and this weekend she was playing with such command and confidence. I think she is a setting steal of the 2025 class where she has a combination of finesse and physicality at the net.

Hansen was a standout at the Prep Dig Resolution where she is a super smooth setter. She has great footwork where she can get to the ball and receive it neutral, keeping the other side of the net guessing. She has really soft hands where her hitters can really swing big from her sets. She preps at Hillsboro High School which is always a small school program to watch in Wisconsin.

Michelyn is an incredibly talented setter. I got to see her play at the Battle at the Bay and she immediately stood out as one of the top setters there. She has a clean touch on the ball and a powerful release. Her sets are still consistent when she is on the move and she is gritty and athletic in her play. Michelyn is smart and has excellent court awareness, spreading her offense well and utilizing every hitter to their fullest potential.
