About Morgan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a scrappy player who loves to keep the ball alive! I live for serve receive and making the perfect pass to set up my team’s attack.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very social person, I make friends wherever I go a this shows on the court. I have a strong relationship with each of my teammates. During gameplay in the libero position, I am able to help keep my team focused and motivated while still having fun! I am positive and encouraging! I celebrate the good plays and victories, and I am able to get my team geared up for the next play!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Besides club volleyball, I also play for my school (St. Mary’s) and for the Brookfield East Jr. Spartans. I club softball and I am involved in my school’s musical and choir program. I have earned national MVP awards in softball and I have earned All Tournament Team honors in volleyball. I am excited to even start coaching this year as an assistant for my school’s 4th grade team!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I try and lead by example. I am vocal and always encouraging to my teammates. I am the first one to practice and the last one to leave. I frequently ask my teammates to work out or find an open gym on our off days to build a strong foundation.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Volleyball is a competitive sport. There is a lot that you cannot control, but you can always control your attitude and effort. A positive mindset goes far, and so does putting in the work. Take every opportunity to hit the gym and it will pay off. Every time you touch the ball, you get a little bit better!
