About Mya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a leader and key player for the Edwardsburg volleyball team, I make a significant impact with my strong net play. My game is defined by a balanced mix of blocking and offensive attacks. My physicality and timing at the net make me an effective middle blocker, collaborating well with teammates to execute key blocks and disrupt the opposing team’s attacks.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have always worked hard both on and off the court. I have enjoyed sports from an early age. Whether it's on the volleyball, tennis, or basketball court, I embrace every chance to push myself and compete. Sports have taught me discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. I am equally committed to my schoolwork and excelling in the classroom.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am actively involved in Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), the Leo Club, and I serve as an officer in the student council.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Beyond sports and academics, I am driven to make a positive impact in my community. I participated in a leadership mentoring program at my church and in several service projects, I am committed to giving back and helping others. In summary, I am a driven, dynamic person who thrives on the pursuit of excellence both on and off the court.
