About Mya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love to go out and win but playing aggressive and playing every ball like it is my last.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am humble and a leader on and off the court and encourage others to push to their next level. I have been team captain for the last 2 years and I help build my teammates confidence. I am there for them when they are down and there to build them up to the level I know they can play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Art Honors, leadership award, key club, and student council.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Skills and qualities I have developed as a leader and captain on the varsity team is building the team to work together. Working together makes for a better team. Being on Student council and the key club has taught me leadership skills and what is important and that has help bring the importance to the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have recently switched clubs and this was probably the most challenging decision I have had to make. I was ready for a change and I was not getting the push that I needed to reach the next level.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with good family orientated atmosphere. A college that is going to make me feel like home. Continue to make me push to the next level and succeed in my every day qualities.
