Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a 6-rotation OH and I love every part of the game. I enjoy fast paced play with quick sets and aggressive plays at the net, as well as trying out new, tricky plays to throw off my opponents. I am a good communicator on the floor and I feel confident that my teammates know they can rely on me to always show up ready to work. I bring high energy and positivity to the court in every match.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I train with the mentality that consistency matters. I try to be consistent in my game preparation whether it's with training, sleep, healthy nutrition, or recovery strategies. I have high expectations for myself but I love to have fun as well. I enjoy leading and supporting our team on and off the court. I definitely keep my team smiling and try to bring enthusiasm to every practice.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in my church community and attend youth group whenever possible. I am also starting my 3rd year in the National Charity League which is a mother-daughter organization focused on leadership, philanthropy, and cultural experiences. I have volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the American Heart Association, Rancho Coastal Humane Society, and I Love a Clean San Diego.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have played a variety of sports over the years including soccer, basketball, and flag football. Through those different phases of life, I have learned how to care for my body as an athlete. I understand what it takes to be a leader that makes an impact on and off the court. I also understand the importance of being a team player and working hard for something bigger than myself.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am excited to attend a college that embraces student-athletes, provides a strong balance of academics and athletics, and supports coaches and athletes who are committed to excellence. I see myself at a mid-size to larger college that has a ton of school spirit and campus energy.
