How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a middle blocker who plays with resiliency, always supports my teammates, brings energy and leadership to my team, is a consistent server, precisely times when blocking, and knows where to place the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very upbeat, bubbly person who loves to make others smile and bring people up. I bring a positive vibe to my team and love cheering on my teammates. I am also a sensible person who loves to have fun, but knows when to be serious. My mentality can be described as focusing on the present, and bringing energy. I believe that not focusing on past errors or the outcome helps me to succeed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in National Honors Society, a Cross-Age Mentor for middle school students, the 2023 Illinois Principal’s Association Leadership Winner, 2023 8th Grade Student of The Quarter Winner, Key Club - (1 year), Student Council Representative - (4 years), and the 2024 Galena, Illinois Euleila Art Award 1st Place Winner.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have deepened my sense of empathy through volunteering at my local Humane Society, and giving money to homeless families on Christmas Eve with Catalyst for Change Inc. I have also developed leadership and teamwork by being a student council representative for four years. During my time on the council I was responsible for organizing school events, and collaborating with my peers.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced a significant challenge: knee surgery. I have struggled with building back my original strength and giving myself grace. However, this injury has made me more driven to become a better player than I was before and to keep pushing myself on and off the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a four year college, with no preference if it’s private or public. I would want the school to have a nursing program that specializes in pediatrics, and has opportunities to work or volunteer in a real work setting like a hospital or clinic. As well as these qualities, I would like if the school was near a city that has a variety of stores and things to do with my team.
