About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Defensive specialist who takes pride in being consistent and dependable for my team. My float serve is extremely accurate and creates points through aces and mishits. I focus on my technique and making clean, accurate passes so our offense runs smoothly. I work hard to read the game, get in the right position, and control the ball. I limit mistakes, keep rallies going, and make every touch count

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I communicate a lot on the court, stay focused every point, and always give my best. I’m a player coaches can trust to be steady, do my job, and help my team succeed. I've worked hard on trying to control my emotions play to play and staying in the moment.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I received academic honors for All A's during my 7th grade year playing on both the high school Freshman and JV teams. I also am a member of Bluegrass Middle school's FFA and competed at state in our Procedure competition.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have worked hard on trying to be a leader both in the classroom and on the practice court. Even though I was a 7th grader playing with Freshman and JV players I tried to set a good example for other players working hard and trying to keep the team on focus during practice.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

This year has been particularly hard for my physical volleyball development. In December 2025 I was diagnosed with a fractured L5 in my spine, causing me to miss over half of my club season. Also in the same month, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer and had to begin undergoing chemo treatments. I have worked hard strength training 3 times a week to help prevent future injury.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to become an Archeologist or an Equine Injury Therapist so a school with a dedicated degree in those fields is the most important. I excel in the classroom so I want a school that will focus on both the athletic and educational development for my future goals. I understand how DS players fit into the recruiting plans of colleges so I want to find the best fit for both myself and the team.
