About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay as aggressive and strategic. I am intentional and precise with my ball placement.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe myself as a positive and supporting personality. I will always attempt to uplift my teammates, on and off the court. Although I try to put my best foot forward, I get frustrated due to my own errors.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At my school, I am involved in Christian Club and Senior Council. I also volunteer at Hope the Mission, a food drive rescue center.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Skills that I have developed include patience, empathy, and humbleness. I have learned to be patient with others and offer support for them. I have also learned how to put my own pride aside when it matters most. Another quality I have developed is my emotional maturity as I now have better control over my emotions on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I faced a knee injury during my freshman year club season that was very difficult. I was unable to play for 4 months so it was very discouraging feeling like I was being held back. I had also missed my high school and club tryouts for the next year so I was automatically placed at a disadvantage. Personally, it was most difficult to go from such an athletic state to a practically immobile position

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for 4 year universities with a good nursing or biology program as well as a good volleyball program.

At the Salt Lake City Showdown in 18 Open, Olivia evaluated her weekend as a developmental success, even without strong win-loss results. She contributed through consistent serving in crucial moments, effective blocking against physical hitters, and high-energy leadership both on and off the court. She emphasized her ability to react quickly and support the back row, while also leading her team’s communication and bench energy. Olivia’s current development focus is improving her connection with her setters and becoming more available in transition, guided by coaching feedback to open up her approach and expand her hitting range.
