About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a quiet intensity. I’m not the loudest person on the court, but I let my game speak for itself. I rely on being smart, disciplined, and aware. Reading hitters, spotting open spots, and making smart decisions under pressure. My style is skillful and controlled. I focus on consistency, technique, and making the right play rather than forcing flashy moments.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'd describe myself as a smart, supportive, responsible and trustworthy person. I stay calm under pressure, make thoughtful decisions, and always look for ways to help my team succeed. I encourage my teammates, always am stay positive, and make sure they know they can rely on me in important moments. I find myself leading through consistency, teamwork, and trust.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes! I'm involved in theater and have played multiple main roles. Along with Group and Individual Speech, Band, Choir, Chamber Choir while receiving division one ratings in all events. I'm also a district officer for the Southeast Student Council District! I've also received multiple academic all-state rewards starting from my freshman year to now, sophomore year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I would describe my lead as detailoriented, accountable, and someone who holds both myself and others to a high standard. I pay attention to the small things that can make a big difference, whether it’s in volleyball, Wrestling, or Student Council. I’m not afraid to speak up when I believe it benefits others, especially when it comes to making sure everyone is treated fairly or equal opportunity.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing academics, volleyball, student council, and other responsibilities has taught me how to manage my time and stay disciplined under pressure. I’ve also faced moments of self-doubt and setbacks, whether in sports or personal situations, but I’ve learned how to push through them instead of letting them define me. All of this has taught me to be more adaptable and independent when needed!

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a strong sense of community where people are genuinely supportive, involved, and connected. I want a campus that has an outdoorsy atmosphere, with opportunities for hiking, skiing, lakes, mountains, or just being outside and active. At the same time, having a strong science program is really important to me because it's something im very passionate about.
