About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play fast, aggressive, excited, and always on the move ready for the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe that happiness isn’t tied to success, it’s tied to effort. Every challenge and all the hard moments are what builds athletes. You can either let them break you or you can choose joy.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received a certificate for placing 30th out of 1,000 students in the state of Tennessee on the National French Exam. I have also received student of the month for good grades and attendance.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership and teamwork through taking on the role of being captain of my volleyball team, being an advocate and helping my teammates learn new things, and while this is not sports related i do volunteer at the local animal shelter.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Moving to tennessee my freshmen year and starting out on varsity as a DS was challenging. I had no connections with anyone and was looked over. I eventually took on the Libero position later that year and was in the local news articles for leading my team. I faced lots of controversy regarding taking on the libero position.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is advanced in academics, and has clean, successful, and positive volleyball environment.
