About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a player that plays with integrity and confidence. I focus on being a versatile player by working both my offensive and defensive play. I am a team leader that supports and encourages my teammates and a very coachable player. I also place a lot of emphasis on working with my teammates to create chemistry for higher level plays.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hard working, goal oriented person. I strive to be my best version of myself in all situations. I don’t make excuses for my mistakes, but instead, I work hard to fix them.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of FCCLA and acting Vice President. I was inducted into National Honors Society. I was selected for Honors Choir and also a member of Badger State Girls Choir. I have also received several awards for Solo Ensemble, including return visits to state and an exemplary award. I played the lead role in our high school musical and also singing our church choir.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned to be a solid leader both on and off the court. I was voted team captain as a junior and will remain the team senior captain for the 2025 season. I volunteer regularly for our church and youth group. It is very fulfilling giving back to programs that have supported me through the years.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

It can be very challenging mentally when facing competition that I don’t always feel I have the skills to compete against. It’s very easy to “get in my head” and self doubt my abilities. It is interesting to learn that even elite college players feel this way. I have learned to lean on my strengths and those that believe in me. When you surround yourself with positivity great things happen!

What type of college are you looking for?

I am seeking a college that offers a balance between academics and athletics. My future career is the end goal and I would love to explore a college with environmental science majors and/or health sciences.
