About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a very aggresive player. I play to win, but I also like to have fun. As a middle I really enjoy blocking because I have a high vertical.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very bubbly person on and off the court. When I play volleyball I play competively. I don't like to see any of my teamates upset or mad, so I will try to and cheer them up. I also play with the strength of God with me. To be honest I would not be here if it wasn't for Him.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a good quality of teamwork. I know that playing volleyball you can't get set every ball becuase eventually they will block you. Moving the ball around to other hitters will help the team be more successful. As a player I enjoy watching other people being successful in their volleyball careers because that means they worked hard and earned it.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have struggled with if I was ever good enough. I have also struggled with the fear of all the hard work I put in to go to waste. During school volleyball, the team wasn't as good as I hoped. We lost a lot of games. I have only been playing volleyball for 4 years and I spent most of those days I was in the gym. Now I know that A.) God will get me to where he wants me. B.) that I am good enough.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college that has good academics. Because education does come first. I also want a school that will help me grow my relashionship with God.
