About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play pretty aggressively. I will ask my setter to incorporate me into the game more if I don’t feel as though I am contributing. I think running the middle is a very important and fundamental part of a fast pace team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

When playing I have the mentality that no one team is unbeatable. Although it may not always be true, going into a game with confidence and aggression without being scared is key.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an ambassador for my high school Saint Francis. My job is volunteering for school events such as freshman welcoming, open houses and more.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a person I think I have grown a lot since the beginning of high school. I have found more of my priorities in school, family, volleyball, and work. I think I have especially grown though as a teammate. I chose to play volleyball because I love team sports and working together to form a community moving cohesive on the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The challenge of negative self talk used to be very present in my playing but now I have moved past my old mistakes and try to just improve moving forward.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to go to a large size school with a lively campus. It would also be amazing to have hiking opportunities near by because that is a hobby of mine.
