Olivia Theis, standout middle blocker for SA Elite, brings intelligence, toughness, and aggression to every point she plays. She reads the game well and stays active at the net, constantly battling to score offensively while also protecting her defenders with strong blocking presence against opposing swings. Her ability to close space and challenge attackers makes her a key part of SA Elite’s defense. The impact does not stop when she rotates to the service line, as Theis serves with precision and intent, consistently applying pressure and looking to score aces. Her competitive mindset and all-around impact make her a difference-maker for SA Elite.

Currently tied for the best hitting percentage in the great state of Texas, Olivia has made a name for herself to be looked at by many schools.  The junior has really stepped up her game for her junior season and is thriving in a bigger role than last season.  There are a lot of players who may fold under high-pressure situations like this, but not Miss Theis.  Accumulating 219 kills, triple what she got in all of last year, on an outstanding .460 hitting percentage is exactly why her squad is sitting at 25-9 on the season and 7-1 in district.  She is really growing into her body this year and is drawing a lot of attention her way.  The power in her upper body is immense and every one of her opponents is feeling the heat from her hard driven swings.  Stay tuned for more on her as we follow her journey closely. 

The towering Theis played a big role in SA Elite 161 Navy’s third-place campaign, which saw the team win four and lose one match over the weekend. Very tall and long, she made a major defensive impact with her ability to get blocks at the net. Theis used her length extremely well to take the space away from opposing hitters, but it was her ability to read opponents and react quickly to their actions that made a difference in her blocking. She was also very solid defensively, making contact with the ball at a very high point, and also contributed with her serves.
