Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a competitive player that brings energy to the court. I am aggressive, read the situation, and anticipate to be successful as an outside hitter and middle blocker. I am strong and hit hard and block even better. I move to serves and pass well to give our team the best chance to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

i am mentally strong. I celebrate the fun stuff and move past the mistakes. I learn from mistakes and make adjustments so I can be successful. i have a plan of how I want or can succeed to win points. I learn the opponents weakness and use that to be strategic. I support my team and encourage everyone to play their best and give it their all. i respect my coaches and work hard for them.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I also play softball at a high level. I have been playing varsity sports all year long with volleyball, basketball, and softball. I am in honor society and have received the jag (student) of the month award. i have been awarded team captain positions. I have been given accolades from my teachers. They compliment my kindness and work ethic.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

When I have served as a captain on my teams I've used skills to be successful. I listen well. I lead by working hard and demanding a lot of myself. I look out for others and think in a way that helps the group. I ca speak with clarity and problem solve. I've completed hundreds of hours of community service over the years. I usually volunteer with kids and in schools to help where I can.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

It can be hard to be a year around athlete and still do what you need to keep grades up and complete family obligations. It has been difficult at times to put in the extra time needed for homework when sports are demanding. My biggest challenge is a back injury. I had surgery and nearly done recovering. I put time in away from the court to recover. It has been hard to be away from sports.

What type of college are you looking for?

College can be all different sizes but I want a setting with football games and other sports. I like the west coast and middle of the US. I can be flexible though. I prefer suburban college type towns.
