The sophomore defender piled up nearly five digs per set last year and was an unflappable passer for the Titans. We couldn’t leave out this rising star from the 2024 Class C2 runner-up. Thayer Central captured plenty of attention at the state tournament with its scrappy, ball-control-centric style. Tietjen was a ringleader in that area with nearly five digs per set and even more pinpoint passes to her setter. The Titans often slotted Tietjen in the middle-back area to allow her instincts and quickness to take over. Expect a similar strategy next fall.
