I want to take credit for discovering Blount early in the club season when I saw her at the Luau tournament in the twin cities, however, it is fair to say, she would have been noticed regardless. She does so many things well. She has developed some really good serve receive skills, has an arsenal of shots when attacking, and plays solid defense. In addition, Blount plays with such a fierceness that when matched with her exemplary skills, she is hard to forget. It was only a matter of time before she came on everyone’s radar in the scouting world.
