Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
The last two weekends of regional play have given us a long glimpse at Premier Nebraska 17 Black. Langhorst has stood out from the beginning. The Archbishop Bergan middle blocker had an effective junior campaign last fall, racking up a staggering 5.3 kills per set for the Knights. We’ve seen her excel as a pin hitter on the prep stage, but her niche with Premier Nebraska is in the middle. Langhorst leverages her incredible strength to slice through opposing blocks and impose her will as a net defender. That dominance continued at the Gold Series.

This is our chance to expand on Premier Nebraska 16 Black’s stars after the team’s podium effort in 16 Freedom. Langhorst had one of her best tournaments to date with a show-stopping medley of highlights in the 16 Black frontcourt. She used her incredible length to stifle opposing hitters and was a force in front of the setter in first-ball situations. Langhorst is ready to fill the stat sheet as an upperclassman and has gained incredible momentum after her Dallas trip.

Langhorst’s role with Premier Nebraska 16 Black has kept expanding, and the Archbishop Bergan sophomore has proven she can shoulder those responsibilities. This most recent Kansas City trip revealed the same dominant form that has made Langhorst successful at so many other past qualifiers. She gets off the floor quickly and has a knack for finding open gaps in the defense. Langhorst can also become a game-wrecking defensive force who anchors 16 Black’s wall at the net. Premier’s 2027 middle blockers took care of business at Show Me.

Langhorst adds to Premier Nebraska’s strength across the 16s age group. This Archbishop Bergan prep star represents 16 Black and battled through the tough NIT gauntlet outside of power pools. She’s a physical force in the middle who can also move laterally to close blocks from pin to pin. Langhorst’s sky-high reach presented tough matchups for opposing attackers, and the small-town star is establishing her own offensive presence, too.

We’ve had a lot to say about Premier Nebraska 15 Black’s talented group of frontcourt hitters. It all started with January’s NLQ championship, which turned out to be a breakout tournament from Langhorst. The Archbishop Bergan middle blocker has developed a wicked cross-body shot that can score against stingy defenses. Langhorst is also adept at reading opposing setters and putting herself in the right spot to make a touch. Nebraska’s prep scene is only seeing the beginning of what Langhorst can accomplish on the biggest stages.
