About Presley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a libero who impacts the game with both skill and leadership. I’m known for bringing energy, positivity, and relentless effort to every practice and match. On the court, I’m fearless—very quick to react and willing to sacrifice my body to keep the ball alive. Coaches tell me that I have a unique ability to see the court and anticipate.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a team-first mindset and unshakable work ethic to every matchup. I’m the kind of player who’s always first on the court, giving full energy, whether in practice or in a game. I lead with positivity and effort, challenging myself and encouraging teammates. I’m resilient and fearless — I take every opportunity to keep the ball alive and set the tone.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am on the honor roll at the college prep school I attend. Bishop Seabury is the #1 or #2 private school in Kansas each year, which means I am surrounded by great people and challenged academically. I have the opportunity to invest over 30 hours a year serving my community. I also have played club soccer for over eight years, but have recently decided to focus on volleyball 100%.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills through being a four-time co-captain of my club volleyball team and freshman captain of my high school team. I’m a vocal leader, but also lead by example through effort, hustle, and attitude. I’ve learned how to stay composed under pressure and bring positive energy to every situation.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

While not significant, one of my biggest challenges has been my size. As a smaller player, I’ve had to constantly prove that I belong on the court with bigger athletes. Instead of letting that discourage me, it’s pushed me to outwork everyone—diving for every ball, leading with energy, and mastering the fundamentals that make a great libero.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college where I can get a great education and be a part of a postive and winning culture. I would also welcome the opportunity to help build a winning culture.

If Whitney moves like a rattler, then Peterson moves like the Prarire Dog avoiding the snake’s bite. She can flat-out move. She was a bubble of joy during the entire event, and I could tell she was having a blast. It would be a difficult choice deciding whether to put the libero jersey on her or Whitney, but that’s a problem I would not mind having.

Peterson is ranked No. 26 overall in the Kansas Class of 2029.
